Abstract:
Objective To investigate the early cardiac diastolic dysfunction in patients with grade Ⅰ hypertension. Methods The peak early diastolic(Era wave), peak late diastolic velocities (Am wave)and the Em/Am ratios at 12 different sites on the left ventricle myocardium including mitral valve annulus were measured by quantitative tissue velocity imagine (QTVI). Results A significant reduction of E and increases in A were detected in patients with hypertension grade Ⅰ, Measurement at 349 sites of left ventricle showed that the average E/A ratios were less than 1, especially in the sites of interventricular septum, anterior and posterior wall. 30% of the patients showed that E/A ratios were less than 1 on mitral valve annulus. Conclusion The early left ventricular diastolic functional remodeling can he detected in patients with hypertension grade Ⅰ by quantitative tissue velocity imaging.
