Abstract: Heart failure remains a disorder with unacceptably high morbidity and mortality. Recent development in cell therapy ignites new hopes for functional regeneration of the diseased heart.Despite the encouraging results from preclinical studies and clinical trials,many more detailed studies need to be performed before cell therapy can be transitioned for clinical use. This review summarizes important findings in the field of cell therapy for heart failure.
