Abstract:
The global prevalence of hypertension has been increasing annually in recent years, posing a major public health challenge worldwide. However, the current medical conditions have yielded suboptimal hypertension control. The introduction of the "Holistic Health Concept" enables the comprehensive management of hypertension to transcend the limitations of traditional models, facilitating a paradigm shift from "blood pressure target achievement" to "overall health enhancement." The core transformations encompass: (1) Promoting global collaboration through cross-national scientific research partnerships and standardized diagnostic and therapeutic protocols to establish a community of common health destiny for mankind; (2) Emphasizing the role of general practice, grounded in the bio-psycho-social medical model, to deliver comprehensive assessment, long-term follow-up, and primary-level preventive services; (3) Advocating the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine by leveraging the advantages of TCM's "syndrome differentiation and treatment" and "tailoring measures to seasonal, geographical, and individual conditions" to complement modern medicine; (4) Fusing technology with humanism, harnessing AI technology to empower precise prevention and control while prioritizing lifestyle interventions and humanistic care to implement proactive health management; and (5) Relying on national policy support to optimize medical resource allocation through healthcare payment reform, thereby achieving win-win cooperation. The "Holistic Health Concept" represents a people-centered medical philosophy, which helps reduce the incidence rate of hypertension, improve prognosis, and provides an effective solution for the Construction of Healthy China and the establishment of a human health community.
