Abstract:
Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is a major form of hypertensive cardiac target-organ damage, which significantly increases the risk of heart failure, stroke, cardiovascular death and other adverse outcomes in hypertensive patients. Its early identification and standardized management are crucial for improving patient prognosis. Based on the latest domestic and international evidence, the Expert Panel on Clinical Management Pathway for Hypertension Complicated with Left Ventricular Hypertrophy formulated this consensus by integrating China's national conditions and clinical practice. It systematically summarizes the diagnostic criteria, epidemiological status, and pathophysiological mechanisms of hypertension complicated with LVH, focuses on elaborating clinical assessment methods, screening and diagnostic pathways, treatment goals, and intervention strategies, and clarifies follow-up methods and frequency. This consensus aims to provide standardized and individualized diagnostic and therapeutic guidance for clinicians, promote the standardized management of patients with hypertension complicated with LVH, and improve patient prognosis.
