Abstract: The book Hypertension: Theory and Clinical, edited by Professor Liu Lisheng, was published in May 2025. The compilation was initiated by the China Hypertension League in 2019. Based on formulating the framework, defining the core content, and arranging the chapters, the expert team solicited manuscripts through multiple approach, and completed the compilation and revision by the end of 2023. Subsequently, the press conducted in-depth editing and optimization of the manuscript. With a total of 2.5 million characters and 212 authors, the book contents more than 20 professional fields including epidemiology, basic theories, and clinical diagnosis and treatment. It integrates new concepts, new mechanisms, and new therapeutic approaches in hypertension, and reflects the characteristics of multidisciplinary integration. It was thus became a large-scale monograph that serve the functions of the systematic theoretical exploration and the clinical guidance. The book was selected as one of "the 100 Excellent University Press Books" of 2025 by the China University Presses Association.
