Measurement of Plasma Cytokines Level in patients with Essential Hypertension and its Significance

    Abstract
  • ELISA and bioactivity assay were used to measure the plasma level of tumor necrosis factor （TNF）, gamma interferon （IFN-r） and platelet-derived growth factor （PDGF ）in 42 patients with essential hypertension （EH）, and 40 normotensive subjects as control. The results showed that the plasma levels of TNF, IFN-r and PDGF in patients were significantly higher than those in the control （P＜0.01 ）.
