Advocating the standardization of home blood pressure monitoring
-
Abstract
Increasing number of hypertensive patients are using home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) for self-monitoring, but the standardization of HBPM is still a problem to be improved. The diagnostic threshold for hypertension based on HBPM is a home blood pressure of ≥ 135/85 mmHg. There are common issues with HBPM that need to be addressed, and the application of intelligent HBPM may be a key measure to solve these problems.
